Here are some frequently asked questions for all of our customers to get to know us a little bit better, and we hope ill ease your mind when trusting us with your furry friends!
"When can my dog start at BFDA?"
Simply fill out our client information form via e-mail and
we will contact you to arrange for a meet and greet
Our Meet and greet consultation usually takes about
a half an hour, designed so we are able to discuss your
dog’s individual needs and preferences to ensure that
their time with us is absolutely perfect.
However, before any dog(s) are accepted at our facility
they must be up to date on all vaccinations (listed on our information sheet).
"Will my dog be safe at BFDA?"
All dogs at our facility will be monitored very closely by our trained staff making sure your dog is having an awesome day. B.F.D Adventures staff are trained professionals in
Canine First Aid. All dogs, when entering our facility, are handled by leash until they are safely inside our fully enclosed play areas.
"What makes BFDA different from other Dog Daycares?"
We provide large, secure fenced areas for your dog to run, giving your pet the optimum exercise opportunities and the great outdoors.
Our ratio of staff to dogs exceeds all industry standards ensuring we can give your dog the attention he or she needs.
We are able to cater to all sizes, ages and abilities,
including senior dogs and puppies.
Special Care! Leave any special medications or food your dog(s) need with us and we’ll make sure they are administered when required.
"When can my dog start at BFDA?"

"How old does my dog have to be to start at BFDA?"
At BFDA we have all different breeds and sizes.
We allow dogs to start at the daycare around 4 months old.
This allows your dog to be safe with all vaccinations from there preferred veterinarian
"How do you know my dog is ready to start daycare?"
Your dog will tell the staff when they are ready! Some run through the gates right away which tells the staff they are good and ready!
But some will stay far away from the gate and other dogs which then tells the staff they need more socialization.
The staff will always listen to your dogs actions. We do not force anything on your dog as it can cause more issues down the road.
"What do I need for my dog(s) assessment?"
Full Vaccination record from your preferred veterinarian
Information sheet filled out and signed
Liability waver signed and filled out
"Where can I find pricing for daycare?"
All pricing can be found on our website under "daycare", go to the bottom and find the link there.

"How big is the facility?"
Outside facility is total 30,000 sq/ft.
This allows each dog to have about 500 sq/ft of their own space to run in.
The inside building is 1,100 sq/ft
"Will my dog be outside all day while at daycare?"
No, The dogs are allowed to come and go as they please inside and out of the building.
The doors to the building are open all day.
"Are toys allowed in the daycare?"
We allow NO toys to be in the facility during daycare hours.
We know not all dogs are good at sharing so we prevent any injuries from occur before they happen.
"Am I able to bring Treats?"
Only time we allow treats is if an owner of the dog(s) is looking to bring birthday treats. These treats are given to the dog(s) in a controlled manor so all dogs are safe and can enjoy them.
Allergies are always considered when giving treats to the dog(s).
"Do I bring a lunch for my dog?"
Yes, you can bring your dog a lunch!
If you would like your dog to have lunch while at the daycare, bring there own food from home. This will not be shared with any other dog. Please label the bag with your dog’s name.
"Do I supply the food for my dogs lunch?"
Yes, due to allergies you will supply your dog’s food if you want us to feed them lunch.
This is to be brought in a plastic bag and labeled with your dogs name so no other dog will receive it.
"How will my dog stay cool during the summer months?"
In the summer months we keep swimming pool always full and water buckets refreshed.
We have adequate shelter that allows all the dogs to relax under.
The building is always open with a large fan keeping it cool.
"How does my dog stay warm during the winter?"
Our building is always heated for the dogs to warm up when cold.
We always recommend jackets for the dogs while outside playing.
If you forget your dogs jacket we do have extras at the daycare
"How does my dog stay hydrated?"
We have multiple water buckets throughout the daycare that are refreshed by staff multiple times a day
"How do I pay for may dog visit?"
We accept cash, cheques and email transfers.
We do NOT accept debit, credit or master card.
"How many dogs attend the dog each day?"
This is averaged between dogs coming for full, half or quarter days.
As well as it depends on the behaviour of the dogs.
We average between 40-50 dogs a day.
"Do you accept boarding at the facility?"
We do not board at the facility as we are not able to monitor it 24/7.
We cater to in-home boarding or boarding at the farm’s residence.
Contact staff for availability for either options.
"Many many staff members work at the facility?"
We have four full time staff members and two volunteers that are in a program working towards handling animals.
Each member is vetted and have multiple
certificates to work with large and small animals.
"What if I cant make my dogs booking?"
If you are not able to make your booking,
Contact staff as soon as possible to advise them you are not able to make it.
We are able to move your booking to another day or cancel it all together.
"Is there a cancelation fee?"
We do not have a cancelation fee, but we appreciate the heads up.
Please contact staff as soon as you are able too.
We know life happens we just appreciate the notice.
"Is there a late pick up fee?"
If the staff finds that your dog is picked up late after daycare hours on a consecutive basis, they will talk to you about a fee being added to your day.
You will be given numerous chances and notified before the charge is added.
"If my dog takes a sabbatical from daycare, does my dog need a new assessment?"
If your dog has not come to the daycare for longer than six month’s we DO NOT require another as assessment to be completed.
We do require a “returning customer information sheet” to be completed with any new contact information or changes for the file.
"Do all dogs require their shots before attending daycare?"
Yes, we require all dogs to be up to date on all vaccinations.
We keep record or all vaccinations and advise customers when we are in need of a new record to be added to their dog(s) profile.
